“I did a couple of days on Thor, just before I came over here,” Sam Neill tells The Short List.
Neill won’t say who he’s playing, but we’ve known for some time that his “Jurassic Park” foil Jeff Goldblum plays The Grandmaster.
“Thor: Ragnarok” is directed by Taika Waititi, who cast Neill as co-lead in Waititi’s acclaimed 2016 buddy comedy “Hunt For The Wilderpeople.”
Joining Neill and Goldblum are Mark Ruffalo as Bruce “The Hulk” Banner, Tessa Thompson (who stars with Anthony Hopkins in “Westworld”) as Valkyrie, and a bunch of dirty foreigners: Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hiddleston and Anthony Hopkins.
