Hey folks, Harry here... I'm slightly annoyed at the new DOCTOR STRANGE poster... First - here's the last one that debuted at Comic Con:
Now, here's the brand new one that hit today:
The problem - well, it's the exact same shot of Benedict... only this time they've skewed it and added a spell upon that one hand of his. The background isn't nearly as symmetrical as it was before, but it is doing something fun... I see easily New York City, London and Hong Kong represented, plus I believe that's Mt Everest over there - and there's at least one or maybe two cities I just haven't identified yet, but it's neat. BUT - I wish they'd back off of the cityscape imagery and got more into the mystical realms on a poster. I mean, it's what the fans really want, just look what they're coming up with ...

The recent... OPEN YOUR MIND Featurette and the very first videos we got, showed us the truly mytstically cosmic nature that they were dipping into. But they seem more set upon doubling down on a kaliedoscopic mish-mash of cityscapes - which are cool - way cooler than Nolan's implementation, but it's still just taking what he did to points well beyond. But as a DOCTOR STRANGE fan - I'm positively DYING to see the stuff all that art has given us a hint to... Or... maybe the city stuff has tested so well and MARVEL has decided to keep the "MUNDANE BEINGS" of the world going, "Wow look at the city!" - while us "True Believers" know - the regulars don't know a thing.
That's probably for the best. Save full SORCERER SUPREME for in the film. I'm just... DYING TO SEE!!!
