Its ratings have been super-low lately (a 0.2 in the key demo last week), but not a lot of shows on USA (or any other NBCUniversal-owned channels) besides “Mr. Robot” have gotten a best-drama Emmy nomination.
The press release undoubtedly mentions that “Robot,” just like every other show, increased its numbers via DVR viewership (which of course allows the world to skip its expensive commercials).
The first season of “Mr. Robot” garnered also a Peabody Award, three Critics’ Choice awards, a WGA award for best new series, a TCA Award for outstanding new program, a best-drama Golden Globe, an AFI Award for Television Program of the Year, and a Gotham Independent Film Award for breakthrough long form series.
