Ron Howard's BEATLES doc gets a trailer!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. One of the coolest things I got to do in the last decade was treat my mom to a trip to New York City to see Paul McCartney play Citi Field, his first time back in that stadium since the '60s when it was known as Shea Stadium.

She's the biggest Beatles nut I know, passed along that love of the group on to me, so this was a pretty special moment.

Shea Stadium is important to Beatles fans. They played their at the height of their popularity and their experience there shifted how the group went forward with their music. The crowd was so massive and so hyped up that the music was drowned out. After Shea they decided to stop touring and focus on the music, which after this definitely shifted away from top pop stuff and more into the weirder areas that would solidify them as the best and most influential rock group of all time.

Ron Howard directed a documentary called The Beatles - Eight Days A Week - Shea Stadium (that's a lot of dashes) that focuses on the band in this transitional era. We have a trailer below that really highlights the charisma of the young Beatles at this point in their career. Check it out:

I don't know about you, but this makes me want to watch Hard Day's Night again...
