Chemist Rex Tyler, introduced in 1940’s Adventure Comics #48, is a crimefighter who invented “Miraclo Pills” that can turn him into a superman for one hour. (In recent issues of Earth-2, Dr. Thomas Wayne uses Miraclo when he’s meting out justice.)
