Starting Friday, the first part of “The Night Of” is available exclusively on HBO On Demand, HBO NOW and HBO GO, more than two weeks before its official premiere.
Created by Steven Zaillian (“The Falcon and the Snowman,” “Awakenings,” “Searching For Bobby Fischer,” “Schindler’s List,” “A Civil Action,” “Hannibal,” “American Gangster,” “Moneyball,” “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”) and Richard Price (“Sea of Love,” “Night and the City,” “Mad Dog and Glory,” “Kiss of Death,” “Clockers,” “Ransom,” “Shaft,” “The Wire”), the eight-part limited series debuts on HBO Actual July 10, two Sundays after the “Game of Thrones” finale.
Starring John Turturro (“Miller’s Crossing,” “Quiz Show,” “The Big Lebowski,” “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”) and Riz Ahmed (“Nightcrawler”), the show delves into the intricacies of a complex New York City murder case with cultural and political overtones. The story examines the police investigation, the legal proceedings, the criminal justice system and Rikers Island, where the accused await trial.
Environmental activist Xiuhtezcatl Tonatiuh is the top-of-show interview guest on tonight’s “Real Time With Bill Maher.” Comedian Larry Wilmore is the mid-show interview guest. The roundtable guests are political strategist Paul Begala, political analyst Michael Steele and reporter Betsy Woodruff.
