Tonight Richard Hendricks bursts into a one-way-mirror room to argue with a focus group. Didn’t this exact same thing just happen with congressional candidate Jonah Ryan on “Veep”?
Anyway, Richard is forced to try to convince the focus group that Pied Piper will not become sentient and try to take of the world the way Skynet did.
One of the funniest things about tonight’s “Silicon Valley” is Gilfoyle taking on the guise of a human lie detector. “I terrify you,” Gilfoyle tells Jared. “As I should.”
I’ve also seen next week’s “Silicon” finale and everybody should brace for massive changes. Dinesh’s videochat app becomes hugely important. Someone confesses his or her love to Monica, in a scene that causes her life to undergo a transformation you’re unlikely to predict.

Remember “The Bridge,” that FX series about cops solving a murder on the U.S./Mexico border? That was based on “Broen,” a Scandanavian series about cops solving a murder on the Swedish/Danish border. Tonight PBS begins airing “The Tunnel,” which is also based on “Broen” and deals with cops solving a murder involving The Chunnel, which links Britain and France. "The Tunnel" stars Stephen Dillane, who used to be Stannis Baratheon!

The Tony Awards “is a money loser for CBS,” network chief Les Moonves told the New York Post last week, “but there are certain things that are more important than making money.” (Actually, this may explain a lot about why CBS is programmed the way it is.)
