Starz’ “American Gods,” adapted by writer-producer Bryan Fuller (“Dead Like Me,” “Wonderfalls” “Pushing Daisies,” “Hannibal” and CBS’ upcoming Star Trek series), is based on the Hugo-winning novel by Neil Gaiman.
I gather the old gods are the deities worshipped by the Egyptians, Vikings, Romans and so on. The new gods are drugs, money, media, tech and their ilk.
Others in the cast include Crispin Glover as Mr. World, Peter Stormare as Czernobog and Gillian Anderson as Media.
