There are rumors that CBS All Access’ new streaming “Star Trek” hourlong would be set in more than one era of Starfleet’s centuries-long history, and that “s” could suggest those rumors are true.
Little is known about the new series beyond the fact that it is being written by "Dead Like Me"/"Hannibal" creator Bryan Fuller (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” “Star Trek: Voyager”) and "Time After Time" writer-director Nicholas Meyer (“Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan,” “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home,” “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country”).
It starts shooting this fall and starts streaming in January.
