THE FLASH flick loses a director!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The world of DC film adaptations is shaky right now. Despite some truly hardcore fans, Batman v Superman wasn't the home run financially or critically/word of mouth that the studio wanted it to be. They have a huge slate of potential franchise pictures and some stress fractures are starting to show.

THR says that FLASH director Seth Grahame-Smith has exited the project, which he helped write after Lord & Miller turned in a treatment.

This would have been Grahame-Smith's first time behind the camera, so it makes you wonder exactly what's going down behind the scenes. I bet you that Seth really wanted this, so for him to leave he's either being forced out or abandoning ship. The THR article doesn't specify the reason beyond the standard "creative differences" line.

The film still has a release date (March, 2018) and a star (Ezra Miller) and I bet WB still is keen to have a dozen superhero movies in some kind of development, but I don't know what the future looks like from within the studio. They have Suicide Squad (which I'm pretty excited for) coming and Zack Snyder is filming Justice League 1 & 2 back to back.

Devin Faraci is on Twitter saying he's been hearing the "aftershocks" of BvS hit Flash and are soon heading towards Aquaman as well.

One thing's for certain. The rebirth of the DC Cinematic Universe has had a pretty convoluted start. I just like good movies, so I hope they find their core identity and start knocking them out of the park.

What about you guys? What do you think?
