‘Tell Your Parents I Said Hello!!’
Alex Danvers Vs. SUPERGIRL!!

I am – Hercules!!

Last week Lex Lutho … er, Maxwell Lord was thinking it’d be better to kill eight percent of the human population than to permit Non the Kryptonian to wipe out all the world’s disease, hunger, poverty and climate change.

Did you know Superman’s brain is more like a human’s than Supergirl’s because he was raised on Earth from infancy? Is true!

And even though Non now controls Superman’s non-Kryptonian brain, Non thought it would be a better idea to let Kal-El sit things out and send Kara’s human adopted sister to kill Supergirl.

Hopefully when Cat’s TV signal restores Superman to normal, The Man of Steel will show Non what Kryptonian Justice is really about. (Or maybe Superman won’t do shit. Only time will tell!)

CBS says of “Better Angels”:

Supergirl is forced to do battle with an unexpected foe and must risk everything - including her life - to prevent Non and Indigo from destroying every person on the planet.

Longtime talkbacker Shermdawg offers a wrestling fan's perspective on last week’s “Myriad”:

When we last left the Girl of Steel, she finally planted one on James Olsen but picked the wrong time as Non activated something called "Myriad" which put everyone in National City into a zombie-like state as they mindlessly walked the streets. Turns out, as learned in a quick visit to the Fortress of Solitude, Astra and Non had developed Myriad as a mind control device to stop political bickering that stood in the way of Krypton's survival, now Non sought to save Earth from humanity, by turning the world's inhabitants into mindless drones devoid of conflict.

Y'know, it's too bad WWE Superstar Damien Sandow only does stunt work given the many wrestling fans I've seen mention he reminds them of Jack O'Halloran. Having a Non without a sweet beard just seems wrong.

We did however get a former WWE Divas Champion in this episode as Eve Torres guest-starred as "Maxima" who was released from her DEO prison along with all but the dreaded White Martian in order to help Non enslave the planet...

...Too bad she didn't get to pull off her patented standing booty pop moonsault on Kara...
"WHAT A MANEUVER!"

Torres joins Dave Bautista, Kane, and Lex Luger as "sports entertainers" who have guest-starred on a Superman-related show.

But yeah, after dealing with things at the DEO Kara headed to CatCo where she found her coworkers mindlessly typing Kryptonian code on their computers. To her surprise however, Cat Grant walked in seemingly unaffected and barking orders (as always) despite not realizing what was going on or that she was actually speaking to Supergirl...

"Kira, call Harrison Ford and tell him that I'm flattered, but once and for all I do not date older men....especially when they're married."

After giving Grant the lowdown on what was happening she got a text message from Clark saying he was on his way, as they moved out to the office balcony to spot his approach they saw him stop midair and drop to the streets below joining the masses affected by Non's control! According to Maxwell Lord who showed up also unaffected, because Superman grew up on Earth he was more susceptible to Myriad's effects.

You gotta wonder where Kal was headed. Was he going to walk all the way back to Metropolis and The Daily Planet? Would he go to work in his tights? These are answers we need to know!

Maxwell tells Cat and Supergirl that after the Kryptonians had messed with his satellites months back he feared something like this would happen as they would be used as a way for the evil alien menace to probe their brains. Luckily he had developed a tin foil hat in the form of a bluetooth device and a pair of ear rings he gave Cat for Christmas which blocked the effects of the signal.

After seeing what was going down back home, Alex and J'onn who were still on the run, put off their plans to save her father from Project Cadmus and headed back to National City after a short pitstop at her Mother's where J'onn revealed his true form to her.

When they eventually arrived back in town, Indigo went on the attack. J'onn managed to get the best of her early on, but after she pulled a Terminator-like recovery from what should've been a fiery death and her going all T-1000 on him stabbing him with one of her stretchy arm blades, J'onn was left incapacitated leaving Alex at the mercy of their blue skinned attacker.

Back at CatCo, after failing to convince Non that Astra had a change of heart during her DEO captivity, Supergirl vows to stop him as the group plans to set off a Kryptonian dust bomb over the city after the President approves it. The downside to that plan? Kara and Superman wouldn't be able to set foot in National City for roughly fifty years and there would be nearly three hundred thousand casualties in the blast.

Once Non learns of their plan, he reminds Kara that he is in control of all she cares for and if she stands in his way, they will die as he orders James, Winn, and Kelly....yes, Kelly....to jump off the office balcony to their deaths. Supergirl, of course, could only rescue two...but had she moved at the pace she had the previous episode opposite Flash, Kelly might've not went splat.

Despite being warned, Supergirl and Kat convince Lord to come up with an alternative plan of stopping Non using Grant's old tv station to jam the Myriad signal. This causes Non to make good on his promise, and sends the present Indigo brought back to him to the tv station decked out in krytonite armor and wielding a kryonite bladed katana. It was Alex!

What will happen tonight as Kara is forced to fight her sister???
