I wasn’t so sure this was a prequel, but this trailer makes it decidedly clear that this is the story of how the title character was trained and ended up at odds with Charlize’s Ravenna. It’s also safe to say that Jessica Chastain’s character is the wife that Huntsman is grieving over in SNOW WHITE, so expect some blood to get in that red hair of hers at some point.
There’s cool action and ice effects, courtesy of Emily Blunt’s not-Elsa evil queen, but I’m still most excited for the return of Crazy Evil Charlize. We know both Ravenna and her mirror are going to get out of this fine, so we’ll get to enjoy wall-to-wall pseudo-British-accented taunting and vamping courtesy of the eternally gorgeous Ms. Theron.
One only hopes the new cast members (and maybe even Hemsworth) will get to have some fun too.
