Check Out a Clip from Jackie Earle Haley's Directorial Debut: Criminal Activities!

Hello ladies and gentlemen, your pal Muldoon here with a clip from CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES. I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of the film until the opportunity to share this clip hit my inbox. As I've not seen the film and have only the clip below, along with Rotten Tomatoes/IMDB's scores to really give me an idea of what I'm in for, it seems interesting. Despite knowing nothing about the film aside from numbers based on opinions and the fact that there are criminals involved, the movie boasts a rather impressive cast given John Travolta, Michael Pitt, Dan Stevens, and Christopher Abbott are key players. I'm not sure I'll ever shake the feeling that Michael Pitt feels like the kid in middle school who would kick your rollerblades when you're on your way home, but the guy's a great actor and chews up a scene pretty well, as evident (my opinion here) in the clip below. Beyond the cast however is the reality that this is a film directed by Rorschach himself, Mr. Jackie Earle Haley! Hit/Miss... I'm not invested enough either way, but personally I can't wait to see what the film's like given it contains so many ingredients I enjoy. The film hits BluRay and DVD on February 16th, so if this sounds like a film you'd be into - check it out. If not, then don't (so simple!).

CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES tells the story of four friends stumble into a deal too good to refuse. But when the investment goes bad, they learn that part of their funding came from a notoriously ruthless crime boss… and it’s payback time. Now they must successfully kidnap a family member of a rival kingpin in order to erase the life-threatening debt. In way over their heads, if they can complete the assigned task without screwing up, they just might escape with their lives.

Thanks to RLJ Entertainment for providing us with the 44 second clip! So what do you folks out there think?
