Sylvester Stallone To Star In Fox Series RAMBO: NEW BLOOD??

I am – Hercules!!

“Rambo: New Blood” is only in development, but if it goes to series the plan appears to be that Stallone will play John Rambo in every episode.

In the series Rambo will be joined by Rambo’s son J.R., a former Navy SEAL.

The pilot will be written by Jeb Stuart, who co-wrote 1988’s “Die Hard” and 1993’s “The Fugitive,” two of the best action thrillers ever made. Stuart also co-wrote wrote the 1989 Stallone actioner “Lock Up.” His other screenwriting credits include “Leviathan,” “Vital Signs,” “Another 48 HRS.,” “Just Cause,” “Fire Down Below” and “Switchback.”

The series may help compensate fans disappointed to learn the big-screen sequel “Rambo: Last Blood” has been postponed.

If all this sounds familiar, it’s because we learned in 2013 that Stallone was developing a Rambo’s Son series that Stallone would appear in. Fox and Stuart were apparently not involved at that point.

As reported in March, Fox and Stallone are also developing a miniseries version of “The Expendables,” with “NCIS” writer-producer Shane Brennan serving as showrunner should the project get greenlit.
