Hey folks, Harry here... I love all forms of animation. For me, bringing things to life is a particular miracle that just involved sex. But us crazy monkeys found away to make doodles live, lumps of clay, pixels in a computer, wooden dolls, dolls of incredible complexity, hell. We can bring shit to life, although, technically shit teems with life. For the time being, we seem stuck in a reality that doesn't accept the viability and reality of 2D ANIMATION, unless it's on television, or in the short film categories. INCAL - created by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Jean Giraud aka MOEBIUS... you want a treat over the holiday break, buy it. Read it. It's the kind of great that is a complete vacation from the normal run of mill awesome geekery. Right now we're inundated with the giant corporate HOLY SHIT CHILDHOOD DREAM stuff... Watch this animated trailer - better yet, it's a proposal for a film. And if it makes you curious - check out the graphic novel. It's beautiful artwork, very intelligent science fiction that really shoots for it. AND SCORES CONSTANTLY! Some of the physical animators on this animated the original HEAVY METAL cartoon back in the 80s, and that had Moebius all over it. Well they're doing this and it is outstanding. Here's a real unexpected treat!
