CBS pulled the plug on Steven Spielberg’s “Under The Dome” in August and on Friday it did the same with another Spielberg summer sci-fi series, “Extant.”
“Extant” got terrible ratings this summer despite following CBS’ number-one summer blockbuster “Big Brother.”
The futuristic drama dealt with a married astronaut with a robot son who gets impregnated by a dreamy extraterrestial.
“Extant” star Halle Berry will now help develop another drama for CBS titled “Legalease.”
“Zoo,” which garnered stronger ratings than the Spielberg projects, will be back next summer, joined by the horror dramedy “Braindead,” about a nation that fails to notice when an alien menace eats the brains of U.S. congressmen.
