If you're a fan of anthology films, Mexican horror, folklore and general coolness, you might want to pay attention. A new anthology film hits DVD and VOD on November 3rd, featuring the work of 8 different Mexican filmmakers, and it looks pretty freaking sweet.
MEXICO BARBARO features the work of Jorge Michel Grau (WE ARE WHAT WE ARE, THE ABCs OF DEATH), Isaac Ezban (THE INCIDENT), Laurette Flores, Ulises Guzmán, Edgar Nito, sound designer Lex Ortega (HERE COMES THE DEVIL) Gigi Saul Guerrero (CHOOSE YOUR VICTIM) and Rue Morgue Mexico coordinator Aaron Soto.
The segments range from stories rooted in Aztec myth and legend to Day of the Dead rituals to haunting ghost stories - but all look pretty awesome. The visual look of some of these films alone is worth the price of admission. And since it will be hitting your favorite VOD source next month, the price of admission means you won't even have to put on pants! Win win!
