Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Once upon a time a rotund geeky little boy obsessively watched a little bit of '80s awesomeness called The Monster Squad. Unbeknownst to this fucking nerd child he would grow up and somehow involve himself in organizing the very first reunion screening at the original Alamo Drafthouse location and would then get some teeny weensy bit of credit for people rediscovering this lost gem.
I appreciate the credit, but it was immediately apparent I wasn't the only one who loved this film. A whole generation of movie lovers were just as taken with this film as I was and they only needed an excuse to support the flick.
I'm very happy to say that I once again somehow wormed my way into another Monster Squad reunion screening, this time hosted by the good folks at Creature Features in LA at the beautiful Ace Hotel theater.
The screening takes place this Sunday afternoon, October 11th, and tickets can be purchased for as little as $15! If you really want to go all out there's also a $45 ticket that comes with a limited edition screen print plus priority seating and a $65 ticket that gets you the screenprint, priority seating and an invite to the VIP reception beforehand with all the cast and crew in attendance. Once you see the screenprint you'll want to opt for the pricier ticket:

And I'll be hosting the Q&A at the start of the show and if you ask nice I might even bring the amulet which was gifted to me by Mr. Fred Dekker way back at that very first reunion screening. Hope to see some of you there!
