‘It’s Done!!’ Hercules Has Seen Sunday’s THE STRAIN Finale!!

I am – Hercules!!

The Strain 2.13 FAQ

What’s it called?
“Night Train.”

Who’s responsible?
Teleplay is credited to showrunner Carlton Cuse & Chuck Hogan (who co-authored the “Strain” novels).

What says FX?
“Setrakian and Fet battle for possession of the Occido Lumen, and gain a surprising new ally. A massive attack imperils Eph, Nora, and Zack's escape from New York.”

The Occido Lumen was written in 1667. Given that it’s apparently worth millions, did no one ever bother to make a photocopy?
Perhaps it is like all scripts for “The Force Awakens,” printed on paper that cannot be photocopied?

Does the episode open with a flashback?
It does not.

Are there flashbacks this week?
No.

How does the episode start?
“Good work, Mr. Rotiga,” offers the grinning Nazi vampire Thomas Eichorst on a rare visit to The Bronx. “I am impressed by your progress.”

What’s doing with Fet and Dutch?
Last seen kissing Nikki goodbye, Dutch does not appear in tonight’s finale. Fet is busy helping Setrakian in his quest for the Lumen..

What’s doing with the Guptas, Gus and the Silver Angel?
No Guptas this week, sadly, but Gus and Angel and their prisoner army are doing the bidding of gladiator school grad Quinlan.

Does councilwoman Justine die this week?
Justine does not appear in the finale.

Does young Coco Marchand cavort nakedly with wrinkly billionaire Eldritch Palmer?
Coco, fully healed and back in love with Palmer, appears this week but does not cavort nakedly.

The big news?
“As you will see, this episode is a game-changer. FX respectfully requests that you help us maintain a spoiler-free environment for our viewers by not revealing any of the plot developments from the 32:55 mark on.” But a fixture to which we’ve grown accustomed since season one is destroyed before that mark.

What happens just before 32:55?
Mayhem.

What else is FX not telling us?
“Did you know the master has a plan for you?” Eichorst asks Setrakian just prior to the Lumen auction.

What’s good?
The Silver Angel. Quinlan. Eichorst. The Master. The mowing. The riots (so much more convincing than the ones over on “Fear The Walking Dead”). The prison escapees’ initial encounter with Quinlan. “Sheep.” “Everybody smile.” “Uh oh.” “We gotta stop!!” “This guy!” “It’s done.”

What’s not so good?
Big things happen in the last 15 minutes of tonight's episode, but “game changer” may be something of an overstatement.

How does it end, spoiler boy?
“Without becoming monsters ourselves,” concludes a major character’s speech.

10 p.m. Sunday. FX.
