Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I saw Goodnight Mommy at Fantastic Fest last year and it is one of those great little creepers that sticks with you. Finally the film seems to be poised for a greater release.
In this day and age trailers are designed to give you a little taste of everything in the movie, hoping that every single type of person in the audience will see something to hook them enough to get them to drop $10 on a ticket. Cutting a great trailer is almost a lost art. I say almost because Fury Road did it so perfectly throughout the entire campaign that I have hope there's still smart marketing folks out there. The Star Wars trailers haven't been bad either.
I say all this as a way to give you the complete greenlight to watch the below trailer. I can't go into why without spoiling things, but it's brilliantly cut. In fact, it might actually make your experience discovering this movie even better than going in cold, something I can't say about most marketing materials.
