A24 has released a new trailer for AMY, the documentary about the all too short life and career of Amy Winehouse. Already one of the most anticipated docs of the year, the film incorporates performance clips as well as interviews with the singer before her sudden death in 2011. The film comes from acclaimed director Asif Kapadia, who helmed the award-winning SENNA
This trailer shows a lot more footage than the previous teaser, and it certainly looks like it will create an impact. Simultaneously a celebration of Winehouse and her work, and a meditation of an artist gone too soon.
AMY opens on July 3rd.
