I really love MAN ON WIRE, the documentary about the famous walk between the Twin Towers by Phillippe Petit - so much so that a fictional retelling seemed to me unnecessary. But regular audiences, for the most part, don't go in for documentaries (although with the success of HBO and THE JINX, that may be changing). But I think Robert Zemeckis is a terrific choice for a dramatic version of these events. Today the new poster for THE WALK hit, and it definitely shows us what this story is all about. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Petit, and I'm looing forward to seeing what he does with this role. Here's the poster:
