With no “Empire” episode to buoy it, “American Idol” hit a new season low.
As “Idol” sinks, the shockingly durable “Survivor” seems to have improved its fortunes measuredly by utilizing all-new cast members in recent seasons..
With no “Empire” to compete against, “Modern Family” once again emerged as Wednesday’s top show.
Among 8 p.m. Wednesday broadcast competition, Greg Berlanti’s “Mysteries of Laura” and Greg Belanti’s “Arrow” tied for last place among adults 18-49. “Laura” pulled 6.42 million total viewers; “Arrow” garnered 2.86 million total viewers. While “Laura” will almost certainly meet cancellation in May (or earlier), “Arrow” was long ago renewed for next season.
