There you have it. From the Instagram account of Singer himself, we have official confirmation on who will be playing young Jubilee a.k.a. Jubilation Lee in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.
Lana Condor is a total newblood in the film acting world, but she’ll be joining a not unformidable cast of youngsters, including Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Sophie Turner as the youthful incarnations of some of our favorite X-folk.
Jubilee had previously made brief cameos in the first three X-MEN flicks, but this will easily be her most substantive role to date. She’s been a fan-favorite for decades, and it’ll be mighty awesome to see how Singer depicts her trademark power blasts in his sorta-realistic X-universe.
As for Ms. Condor, considering Singer’s eye for unproven talent (Hugh Jackman, James Marsden, Evan Peters, the list goes on), I have a feeling she’ll probably be able to do our favorite yellow-trenchcoat-and-pink-sunglasses-wearing mutant justice.
