The TV By The Numbers site insists the terrible ratings garnered by “The Mindy Project” will not prevent the sitcom from getting a renewal for next season. “Syndication” is the reason given, since “Mindy” would be entering a fourth season next autumn. I predict a renewal will send Mindy only careening into the Fox Friday Death Slot.
“Agents of SHIELD” hit an uptick to 1.6 and tied for last Tuesday’s third biggest show in the key demo. An ABC show typically has to fall under and stay under a 1.4 in the key demo to get cancelled, so “SHIELD” continues to look like a lock for a post-Ultron third season.
What a difference when “The Voice” is your lead-in! Before last Tuesday, Bill Lawrence’s “Undateable” never scored higher than a 1.3 in the key demo and ended its 2014 season with a personal low of 0.7. Last Tuesday it hit a 1.9 and was the night’s number-two show in the key demo!
