Bill Condon’s live-action BEAUTY AND THE BEAST has already cast Emma Watson as Belle and is looking at Ryan Gosling to play the Beast. Now, everybody who has seen Disney ‘s classic animated film, knows that the best character in the entire film is that of the villain, Gaston, which means that they really need to get the right actor.
So now that Variety is reporting that Luke Evans has the role, is he the right guy? I’m not so sure, he was okay as the villain in FAST AND FURIOUS 6 but didn’t exactly exude charisma. He certainly didn't show that he has the ability to pull off a performance that will live up to this amazing number:
