Live in Chicago? Capone has tickets for a special screening of DIGGING UP THE MARROW, with writer-director Adam Green Q&A!!!

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here.

If you’re a fan of writer-director Adam Green (the HATCHET trilogy, 2010 ski lift nightmare FROZEN, SPIRAL, or the horror-comedy series “Holliston”), you may have noticed that in certain cities around the country he has been touring his latest bit of horror goodness, the monster-centric DIGGING UP THE MARROW, with a fantastic lead performance by the great Ray Wise. I first saw a rough cut of the film at 2013’s Butt-Numb-a-Thon, and even that version had moments in it that truly terrified me. And I can’t emphasize enough how great it is to watch Wise really dig into a part the way he does here. I haven’t seen him go for broke like he does in MARROW since his “Twin Peaks” days (not comparing the two, just the level of performance).

I believe the film is currently available on VOD, but let’s be honest: there’s nothing like watching a horror film with a crowd of like-minded folks ready to piss their collective pants from fright. And in Chicago, we’re about to have just such an opportunity when Green brings DIGGING UP THE MARROW to The New 400 theaters (6746 N Sheridan Road in Rogers Park) on Thursday, March 5, with the festivities beginning at 8:30pm. Green will be on hand to introduce the film as well as do a post-screening Q&A, which I’ll be moderating.

This is a paid screening, and tickets can be purchased in advance HERE. But I also have five pairs of tickets (that’s 10 seats) to give away to Ain’t It Cool News readers in the Chicago area. Here’s how to win tickets…

To win, send me an email to MarrowChicago@aintitcoolmail.com (please note the new email address) with the subject line “Start Digging!” (exactly like that). In the body of the email, I need your Name, whether or not you're bringing a Guest (winners can bring one guest, whose name is not required), and the answer to the following question: “What film scared you the most, and why?” I’m looking for a film title and a detailed account of why it stands out as being the scariest. Winners will hear from me soon (although I will not post the winners’ names on AICN), so keep an eye on your email over the next couple of days.

Good luck, everyone! And thanks to Adam Green and Image Entertainment for pulling together this great event and bringing our guest to Chicago.
