SINISTER 2 is officially ready to move forward. Scott Derrickson, co-writer and director of the first film, tweeted the announcement earlier today.
Sinister 2 news! The script, written by me & @massawyrm, will be directed by the talented Ciaran Foy. I will produce w/Jason Blum @blumhouse

So Derrickson and co-writer (and former AICN Contributer/Total Badass) C.Robert Cargill will again be scripting, and directing duties will be going go Ciaran Foy, director of the 2012 film CITADEL.
If you haven't yet had the opportunity to check out CITADEL, I highly highly recommend it. It's a great flick, and just so happens to be available on Netflix Instant now, so you have no excuses.
Having Foy aboard the SINISTER sequel is indeed an exciting development. I can't wait to see what he brings to the film, and what Derrickson and Cargill have in store for us in the next chapter.
