Last week we learned Agent John Garrett (Bill Paxton) is The Clairvoyant and we saw Garrett protégé Agent Grant Ward ask Skye Nolastname on a date.
Ward also apparently promoted Phil Coulson to SHIELD’s most senior agent by putting several bullets in Agent Victoria Hand.
Some saw Joss Whedon's fingerprints when Ward scored a most surprising offscreen victory over 12 HYDRA henchmen -- and Garrett's confusion over what grows back when one dismembers a mythological water serpent.
ABC says of “Providence,” which airs at 9 p.m. after ABC repeats last week’s installment:
“With Colonel Glenn Talbot now on their trail, Coulson and his team seek refuge in the last place anyone would look, where they begin to uncover S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most dangerous secrets -- secrets that could destroy them all. Written by Brent Fletcher.”
Talbot is played by Adrian Pasdar, who used to play the flying senator on “Heroes.”
