As he points out in this interview, the mighty Gary Oldman has landed in a number of major cinematic properties over the past few decades: HARRY POTTER, BATMAN, ROBOCOP, the upcoming DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. He’ll always be Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg to me, but by no means does this undermine the subtance or importance of these other appearanceas. And, I suppose, THE FIFTH ELEMENT wasn’t a ‘franchise.’ - although it should’ve been.
In an interview with Sky Movies, the actor now reveals that he has been ‘called’ regarding an appearance in the next STAR WARS movie - set to roll soon under the direction of J.J. Abrams (as if you didn’t know that by now).
