Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller, who served as writer-producers on “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” are engineering a new “Terminator” TV series set in the same universe as the upcoming “Terminator” movies.
Apparently the producers of the upcoming “Terminator” movies plan to carry their new universe into TV in a fashion similar to what Marvel is doing with its highly successful “Agents of SHIELD” spinoff.
Stentz and Miller have already worked within the shared “Marvel” universe, having scripted the first “Thor” movie. They’ve also served as writer-producers on such sci-fi TV series as “Andromeda” and “Fringe,” and had a hand in scripting the big screen’s “X-Men: First Class.”
The Terminator TV series will “follow a critical moment from the original 1984 Terminator movie, taking it in a completely different direction that [sic] the film,” according to Deadline Hollywood.
Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, who are writing the next Terminator movie, will serve as executive producers on the Terminator series.
