Sony has no plans to slow down the web-slinging anytime soon. THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 isn't even out yet, and they are already planning for the future.
The writing team of Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Jeff Pinker, who wrote the script for the second installment of the rebooted franchise, will be returning to pen Part 3, reports THR.
Marc Webb directed the first and second installments, but no word yet on weather or not he will return for a third, though star Andrew Garfield is expected to be back in the title role.
Sony secured release dates for the next two films earlier this summer, with Part 3 slated for release on June 10, 2016 and Part 4 for May 4, 2018.
But before we move on to all that, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 will open on May 2, 2014. The Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and Electro (Jamie Foxx) will be playing prominent roles in the upcoming film, but we'll have to wait to see if they will have storylines that will extend beyond Part 2.
