John Ary here with a look at the third film in Vin Diesel's über macho sci-fi franchise, Riddick.
For me, the character works best when he has little to say and his motivations stay simple. That works great in the first 1/3 of the movie as we're given a man vs nature story. Once the meat-head bounty hunters show up, things begin to go downhill.
