John Ary here with a look at Pacific Rim, a film so epic in scope and execution that you end up sounding like a 12 year-old rambling geek when you go to talk about it afterwards.
After I left the theater to shoot this review, I found myself with a limited vocabulary, consisting mostly of words like AWESOME, BADASS and AMAZING. While all of those adjectives fittingly describe Guillermo Del Toro's grandest film ever, it also has at its core a simple yet compelling story filled with strong characters and brilliant artistic design. I hope this movie is a massive success.
