My, oh, my, the mouth on Kristin Scott Thomas in this clip from Nicholas Winding Refn's ONLY GOD FORGIVES.
The scene involves Ryan Gosling's character introducing his girlfriend (Yayaying Rhatha Phongam) to his dear old mom, who proceeds to launch into a profane line of questioning almost immediately. This is red meat for an actress of Scott's considerable talents, but rather than devour the scene, she savors every bite. I know the film received mixed reviews today at the Cannes Film Festival (actually, it seems almost like a love/hate split), but I get excited when a gifted filmmaker delivers a divisive movie. All this scene does is ramp up my anticipation. (It goes without saying that this is NSFW.)
