Let me introduce you to Dr. Carol Marcus. She strips down to her bra and panties for no real reason in the new Star Trek movie. Do I mind? Heck no. Is this what Gene Roddenberry envisioned for his "Wagon Train to the stars" franchise? I doubt it. Star Trek Into Darkness is a fun movie to watch, as long as you don't take it as canon. I like to think of it more as really expensive fan fiction that takes place in a "Mirror, Mirror, Mirror" universe.
