Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a quick update to Billy's story. When I was on set for Captain America Kevin Feige said he saw future Cap movies having WW2 flashbacks that impact the modern day Cap stories, so it's possible they'll keep Zola in human form that way, but hardcore comics fans know that Zola now has his brainpower living in a robotic body.
He looks a bit like Krang from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I don't know Winter Soldier is going to be that super sci-fi fantasy crazy, but there is a hint in Captain America that might point to them going in that direction. Courtesy of Comicbookmovie.com:
Thoughts? Here's Billy's original story:
The Kidd here...
The last we saw Toby Jones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he was in the custody of Captain America, giving up vital information as to the whereabouts of Red Skull. But now with the Captain in the modern era, where does that leave Jones' Arnim Zola?
Apparently still in play, as, when talking to the crew over at Hey U Guys, Jones confirmed that he'd be returning in some aspect for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. What makes this most interesting is that it implies that we'll be taking another trip back to the time of World War II... unless Zola also was frozen, for some strange reason, in order to bring him into the world of today.
Think on this though... could we see Zola involved with the creation of the Winter Soldier, working during the time that the Captain remained frozen away? Might Zola be involved in that origin story, which would make the most sense to be told in flashback?
