ScoreKeeper Worships THE SHRINE By Ryan Shore And Has Ten Autographed Copies To Give Away!

Greetings! ScoreKeeper here with another red hot soundtrack for eager ears to take home. In 2008, Ryan Shore's monstrously cool score for JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER (2008) earned the number ten slot on my top ten favorite scores list. Since then my aural antennae has picked up several new scores penned by Shore which have really impressed me. Some of these have included SHADOWS (2007), STAN HELSING (2009), and the one I'm going to be giving away this month...THE SHRINE (2010).

Earlier this year THE SHRINE was honored with a Grammy nomination for best score soundtrack which was released on ScreamWorks Records late last year. He was in good company. Other nominees included BLACK SWAN (2010) by Clint Mansell, TRON LEGACY (2010) by Daft Punk, and HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 2 (2011) and THE KING'S SPEECH (2010) by Alexandre Desplat. It was Desplat who took home the award for THE KING'S SPEECH but the nomination was a golden opportunity for those unfamiliar with Shore's work to take serious notice of his growing talent.

I have ten CDs of Ryan's score for THE SHRINE to give away. All of them have been signed by the composer. It's a spooky score ripe with dark atmospheric textures that's sure to send chills down your spine. If you're a fan of creepy scores, you're sure to love this one!

Here's what you need to do…

Send me an email to scorekeeper@aintitcool.com using the subject: SHOW ME THE WAY TO THE SHRINE! and include your name, mailing address, a valid email address, and your favorite creepy score of all time. The one that really gives you chills each time you hear it.

I'll drop all the names into a pot and randomly select ten winners who will each be receiving one CD of THE SHRINE autographed by the composer Ryan Shore, courtesy of ScreamWorks Records. The deadline submission is Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 11:59pm PST. Only one entry per person. International entries will be accepted. Duplicates will be discarded.
