Contest

Updated! Mondo gets the STAR WARS license and they're giving away their first poster to an AICN reader!

Well well well. That was a hugely entered contest. Not counting the 100 or so entries I had to delete out of my personal email address (not the one I said to mail to) we had just over 2400 people enter. I guess Mondo can take that as a huge stamp of approval from the Star Wars geek community! I randomly pulled a dozen names from the 2400+ entries... some from each point in the timeline from when I started to right when it closed and from those random names I just as randomly picked the winner. Closed my eyes and everything! The lucky owner of the below poster is Mr. Justin Jacob of Toronto, Canada. Congratulations, sir. Thanks for everyone who entered. I'm sure Mondo might be up for doing another giveaway in the near future, so stay tuned! -Q

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some cool news for us Mondo fanatics and old school Star Wars nerds. Mondo has worked with Lucasfilm to secure a license for a line of Star Wars related Mondo posters. They launched the first one yesterday at noon, a limited to 350 24x36 print from artist Jeff Soto of a lonely Gonk droid. Even at $50 a pop they sold out within hours of release. Check out the poster below:

Now it's not all bad news. They kept one back to give away to one lucky AICN reader. The contest is open to anyone in the world. Due to the likely high demand for the poster I’m gonna play this one simple. I need you to email me at here between right now and, say, noon CST Monday June 28th with the subject line GONK! as well as your mailing address and full name in the body of the email. I’ll pick one at random Monday afternoon and email the winner and post an update to this article. No duplicate entries. Can’t wait to see what this series leads to. With the amount of talent Mondo employs we could be seeing some amazing icons in different geeky cool ways. Good luck, peoples! -Quint quint@aintitcool.com Follow Me On Twitter
