Herc's Fondest 24 Dream Realized''

I am – Hercules!!

Okay, this is from a source we’ve never dealt with. But if it’s not true, and this "Brizbane" is just getting back at us for our April Fools prank, I still hope to make it true just by posting it here. Behold the wholly unconfirmed cool piled on cool:

Hercules!

What's up man! Got some 24 dirt for you. I was working on 24 last Tuesday when they were filming downtown. I'll give you the short of what I saw. The piece I worked on was from the last 10 minutes of hour 24. The President says a few words to press and onlookers, walks through the crowd to his limo (surrounded by secret service of course), he is shaking hands with many of the onlookers, gets to the limo, turns to the crowd for one last wave and notices a very beautiful and eager young woman in the crowd desperately seeking to shake his hand, the President approaches her and shakes her hand before he leaves in the limo. Now this is a move that I believe President Palmer will live to regret in Season Three because the young woman was none other than the very beautiful and very much non-naked Mandy! Yes, I had a visual sighting of Mia Kirschner on the set of 24! Geek boys rejoice! I do know a bit more of why non-naked Mandy is shaking the President's hand but I don't want to ruin the entire suprise :)

Peace out!

~Brizbane

    24: Season Three

    by dirtyapes

Season Three should be a prequel. Who says every season should be chronological anyway. This way you can bring back Teri and George Mason. What would be ironic is if Season Three is indeed a prequel and Mason is back, he'd be a prick that Jack hates, and Nina Myers would be a good guy again! How fucked up would it be to be rooting for Nina all over again, knowing all the tragic stuff that ensued in Season 1. And please, leave Kim out of Season Three. Set this day in Europe, w/ Jack being a Splinter Cell in the Balkans. Having Jack in the field for a 24 hour op is not far-fetched at all. Maybe the Drazens can cameo.

    by Playhouse

No more prequels. Nothing really needs to get delved into that can't be introduced by the characters through dialgoue or interaction. We've had far too many prequels to things lately. The Memento idea for a season sounds inventive, though.

Personally, I like the idea of the last thing we see in at least one episode is the whole world coming to the brink of war when we cut to the shot of Jack Bauer sitting on the john and grunting to pound one out while reading a comic book. TICK BOOM TICK BOOM TICK BOOM and waste fifteen minutes of the next episode while he sits there.......oh yeah...Mandy blew up the plane in season one.....she was cute......And thus, I have spoken! - - - George, The 7th Chicken!!!!

24 History Lesson to Shut You Up

    by Bluntman420

My top theory: Last season we all were dying in anticipation of who "The Mole" was. Many of us had suspected Nina for a good deal of the year, but she had been more cooperative with Jack than ever during the episodes that preceded her being outed. The same thing has been happening with Tony this year. I'm not saying that I'm 100% sure that Tony is "The New Mole" but, I would love it if he were, and he was in cahoots with Nina all along. This makes sense because it could actually turn Chapelle into a good guy (ie what we all want not to happen). I don't think that it will be Jack or David Palmer because they are the 2 main protagonists of the story and to turn one evil would be almost impossible to a) recover from plotwise and b) be able to root for one of them. Besides, if they want to "shock" the fans, they'll have to make "The Mole" someone who turns on one of the main good guys. I don't want to have it be Sherry Palmer cause that would continue 24's trend of having all powerful women become evil. It's not Kate, because, let's be honest nobody gives 2 shits about her. Naked Mandy? This would be a bigger inside joke than Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back if they pulled that. Mike Novick has already been outed for being a dickface this season so that's not gonna happen. Miguel? NO. Milo? NO. Carrie? No. Michelle? NO. Gary or Megan Matheson(the family Kim was working for)? NO. Kim? NO. Lynne Kresgy? No. Chapelle could work, it would fit in 24's "trust no one" philosophy. Look at last season to see if there were any survivors? Rick? That would be funny to show how fucking stupid Kim is, but NO. Yeah...All I think is Tony/Nina in cahoots or Chapelle.

    Mandy will never be back....

    by unwell_arena

...because then the show would have to acknowledge that they actually did have a terrorist blow up a commercial airplane. They quickly wrote Mandy out of the show as soon as 9/11 happened, and never again referred to either her or the plane after the first few episodes. They conveniently forgot it ever happened rather than face further criticism. It sucks, but that's how the business works.

All those Mole Theories are good, exept

    by punto

there doesn't appear to be a mole this season! Last year they talked about a mole at ctu for the entire season, and the bad guys knew where jack and palmer and kim were all the time (especially kim ;) This year, everyone at CTU knew that the blonde chick and the arab guy had the chip and that they were taking it there, and yet the bad guys had to torture jack to find out.. That tells me there is no mole, or if there is, she's not working for the current bad guys (so we don't really care, until new bad people are introduced).

You think there's any truth to the Zooey Deschanel rumor?

    by unwell_arena

This appeared on the talkbacks yesterday...that the Almost Famous sister would be in the last two episodes and "instigate a plot twist so big that it and her character will carry over far into next season." What do you think? The Mandy angle may be bullshit, but the scene described may not be.

Mandy BLOWS UP Air Force One!

    by Regis Travolta

How cool would that be if in the first hour of Season 3 she pulls the same stunt as she did in the first hour of Season 1? She gets on board posing as a reporter and blows the hatch off, gets sucked out with her parachute and BOOM! Air Force One is blown out of the sky! If Surnow and Cochran have any real guts they'll do this, throwing the entire Government into panic and mass hysteria since in my version Season 3 begins right away meaning it's just one day after this season's 24 hours, Palmer has arrested his duplicitous Vice President in Hour 24 upcoming so now the Executive Branch is in the hands of the Joint Chiefs and they get their MidEast War, Nina is on the loose, Prescott is now Acting President, Palmer is dead along with his queen bitch wife and Jack winds up completely on his own. Well he has Kate but still he's not following anybody's orders now. He's the lone wolf trying to avert a war. Kate speaks fluent Arabic so let's have it. Nina can be the Big Bad and Mandy can be her lesbian sidekick. Bring it on!

Why was Mandy cut out of 24? It's quite simple

    by Greenleaf1

HER STORYLINE WAS OVER!!! What the hell else was she gonna do? her job was up, all she was supposed to do was deliver the ID to Gaines, and she did that, so I have no idea why she'd be in this season, especially since she doesn't have her own agenda, she's just a terrorist for hire. Anyone who has any common sense whatsoever would realize that this rumor of her being on the set for the last episode of this season is completely and utterly false.

  • April 24, 2003, 1:05 a.m. CST

Nobody would even remember Mandy if not for Horny Hercy's review

    by jules windex

And I don't want her back, cuz Mia Kirshner is a horrifically bad actress. Ever see her in Mad City? Worst performance ever committed to celluloid. I'd love to see Zooey on there though, as Kim's new lesbian lover.

Did Jack ever find out about Teri's rape?

    by Gheorghe Zamfir

    Just wondering.

  • April 24, 2003, 10:14 a.m. CST

Do we *care* if he finds out about the rape?

    by Drath

She's been dead for a year, and the guy who raped her is long gone. I'd think in all that time that Kim probably told him, but even if she didn't, what would it really change about the show or the character? He's as tortured as he's going to get. I think Terry's murder eclipsed the importance of her rape to Jack's story. I could maybe see it being used as a final straw to make him kill Nina(assuming she tried taunting him over it), but really, I think the ship has sailed.

  • April 24, 2003, 11:30 a.m. CST

    Next Season

    by Agent_Utah

Should be set a couple years in the future when Palmer is out of office and the story should be that a terrorist group, gov't, or drug cartel is trying to kill Palmer (like Saddam's ploy to kill George Bush Sr out of office). Being out of office he would have less security around him with the opportunity to have him on the run and finally out of an office setting. Jack's story would be easy to write in. With maybe both of them being killed at the end then starting a whole new cast for the fourth sesaon.

    planning ahead with mandy

    by mc razcal

If Mandy does return, it can have nothing to do with the "are you still available next summer" comment from last season. We know Day 1 took place 6 months prior to the general election from Sherry's nagging to David. The general election is always in November - so Day 1 takes place in April/May. This means next summer would be in reference to 13 to 16 months later. Day 2, according to the episode guide at fox.com, takes place 18 months after Day 1. It must be late October/early November. So no dice.
