Hey folks, Harry here and you bloody brits... ARGH... This will be a cool event! I believe this documentary on the lost Gilliam classic has only shown at the Berlin Film Festival thus far, and I'm dying to see it... To see and get an inkling of what might've been. Oh the agony of it all. Anyways, here's your chance to meet one of thigh-slappingly great filmmakers of all time. Get on with ya then...
Hi Harry,
Terry Gilliam is to make an appearance at a London cinema this week in support of the imminent release of "Lost in La Mancha", the documentary about the "un-making" of The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. On Thursday July 25, Gilliam will be at the Screen on the Green, Islington, London at 8pm.
The website of the film is online at LostInLaMancha with plenty of stills, background information and interviews with directors Keith Fulton and Louis Pepe and producer Lucy Darwin.
As for Gilliam's next project... it seems that for a variety of reasons, "Quixote", "Good Omens" and "Tideland" have been put to one side. But Gilliam has vowed to start a project before the end of this year, and has been meeting with studio bosses in Hollywood. I'll let you know when I find out more.
