Entertainment Tonight featured clips from the trailer for THE PRESTIGE. This material is now available on YouTube.

Based on a novel by Christopher Priest, PRESTIGE is one of two magician-themed movies headed into theaters soon -- the other being THE ILLUSIONIST, whose lackluster trailer (with cheesy accents) was recently unveiled and beaten down.

The movie stars Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, David Bowie, and Michael Caine and should arrive in theaters October 27.

Andy Serkis (Peter Jackson’s Gollum and Kong) will also make an appearance in THE PRESTIGE, which is co-written and directed by Christopher Nolan (BATMAN BEGINS, MEMENTO, and INSOMNIA).

This version features clips of Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney, a burping whale (which is, I’m sure, a strata to which both actors aspired throughout their careers), and some Lilliputian action.
