Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the old-school "Alias" guys who co-wrote "Mission: Impossible III" with Abrams, are penning the screenplay. My pal Damon Lindelof, he of "Lost" fame, is involved too.

If you don't think this is going to rock? You need to Netflix the "Alias" and "Lost" pilots. Like now.

Youngsters will no doubt play Jim and his best Vulcanian buddy. But might we see Nimoy and the Shat in their futureclothes one more time as well??
