A few weeks back we learned that Stallone was filming a long rumored, much desired on-screen pow-wow of himself, Bruce Willis, and Schwarzenegger. Sly talked to Entertainment Weekly, where he revealed the scene's nature. Clearly, this is SPOILER matieral - although it's not terribly detailed.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I didn't run the original rumor, apparently taken from a German newspaper because it didn't feel right. Sure enough it is a total misunderstanding as the interview Sly is being quoted from is 3 years old and is him talking about Rocky Balboa.
I was asked in a talkback yesterday why there was no article on Rocky 7 and I responded saying because it's a non-news story. It was from the start.

For a while now we've been hearing scuttlebutt (what the hell kind of word is that, anyway?) that Bruce Willis would make some kind of appearance in Stallone's THE EXPENDABLES. The film's cast already includes Stallone, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Steve Austin, Randy Couture, Eric Roberts, and Terry Crews.

Holy Shit That Was Way Fucking Cool!
Ok. I’ve been doing this for 13-14 years now. Been on a lot of big sets, met a lot of big stars. But you know what? Going into THE EXPENDABLES stage in New Orleans and seeing chairs for Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews and Randy Couture. It kinda melts your brain.
But then, when they all file in, one after another. Shaking your hand and greeting you. Your brain does a wicked freak out.

Lensman sent in a few snapshots from filming on THE EXPENDABLES.
The pics pretty much speak for themselves, although I'm curious about one thing. Kinda thought green screen was all the rage these days - interesting to see 'em using blue here. Why is that? Cause it's night/different lighting requirements and what not? Has blue screen not been completely supplanted by green?

Don’t get me wrong, I grew up on Dolph Lundgren’s work and was very, very pleased to get a chance to speak with the man, but this interview shouldn’t have been done by me. I begged Vern to do it. He considered it, but ultimately just didn’t think doing interviews was his thing.

A spy calling himself Crocodile Rocky stumbled across the set of Sly Stallone's THE EXPENDABLES recently in New Orleans and snapped some pictures, which show off some pimped out rides that may or may not be part of the flick and one Mr. Dolph Lundgren looking good and hanging out with one Mr. Sylvester Stallone. So, naturally the first officially released image from the production stars a giant explosion, with Eric Roberts and Stone Cold Steve Austin flying through the air. How could it not, I ask you? Of course, this is the first official thing we see from this flick.

Hey folks, Harry here... It is Saturday, the second SXSW Saturday of the year - and yes, I'm about to head out to see more movies. It has been a wonderful, yet taxing week of cinema. But throughout this week - there's been the update on the casting of HALE CAESAR. For quite some time, the role belonged to Forest Whitaker, but a push in the schedule made it impossible for the Ghost Dog to continue with the film. Then I received a call, informing me that rapper, 50 CENT aka Curtis Jackson, had stepped into the role.

He's excited about Stone Cold Steve Austin being set as a baddie that's gonna beat the living hell out of Sly! He's also got John Herzfeld recording all the psychotic lunacy that's going into the making of this gargantuan monstrosity that's being spilled out of Stallone's noodle!

Hey folks, Harry here... It seems there's a possibility that my source was a bit too exuberant about the certainty of Arnold Schwarzeneggar signing aboard. The whole thing is very dependent upon what happens with Arnold's primary gig as the Governor of California. As most of you know, California has been hit brutally by the financial nightmare that has descended upon the world. If you read DRUDGE or any of the papers in California, you can see a stern faced Arnold working with the California legislature to find a way to fix some of the insanity that's happening in that state.

Hey folks, Harry here... Just got off the phone with... ahem "my source" ahem... who let me know that Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to be playing Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in THE EXPENDABLES. He will be shooting for one day, and it seems that the Gov and Sly's character Barney Ross have some history back when the Gov was shooting CONAN THE BARBARIAN!
Also - Ben Kingsley is out as the dirty bastard CIA sob, and Eric Roberts is in! Also, Mickey Rourke has finally signed on officially!

Hey folks, Harry here... I look at the below photo and it tells me... I should continue to hit the gym even harder. Look at this guy! Now, I know... Stallone is unbelievably cut for someone in his sixties. But it's just one of those things that is still just stunning to behold. The below photo is the look that Stallone is going for, when he begins shooting THE EXPENDABLES next month. Personally I think "Barney" is looking ready to rip some spines out, how about you? This is going to kick some ass, dontcha think?

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I'm an unapologetic fan of DEMOLITION MAN. It's a movie that has aged extremely well, that's for sure, but even back in the day I loved the hell out of it. One of the driving forces behind my enjoyment of that film was the chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Sylvester Stallone, so you can imagine my (happy) surprise to hear a rumor floated by JoBlo that Bullock might be reteaming with Sly for his awesome sounding ensemble action flick THE EXPENDABLES.
