I have been dying to see Park Chan Wook's latest film, THIRST. Mainly because I had no idea what a Vampire story from his amazing vantage point would look like. Would there be new Vampire rules? Would it be a recognizable vampire story? Or would it be something entirely new?
Coming from South Korea - I was anticipating the latter. THIRST did not disappoint.

Hey folks, Harry here with the debut of the US release one-sheet for Chan Wook Park's THIRST! His first foray into supernatural horror. I specify that, because honestly - in SYMPATHY FOR MR VENGEANCE and OLDBOY and SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE, I feel there are some pretty strong Horror elements, but this is his first play into that world - and I hear that it is absolutely brilliant. Can Not Wait to see this!

Hey folks, Harry here... Three people that I absolutely trust that saw THIRST in Cannes flat out LOVE the movie. Just love love love the movie. Now usually when we hear about a movie at a prestigious International festival - it means we're 6-18 months from actually seeing the film theatrically, if ever. Other than the occassional film fest. Well FOCUS FEATURES picked up Park Chan Wook's THIRST, his first active horror genre Vampire tale, has decided to release THIRST on July 31st, 2009!

Hey folks, Harry here... I generally consider myself the luckiest fuck on the planet. Because well... if you've been reading my Twitter, you know what I'm seeing today. BUT the thing is. As cool a day as I'm having, there's always somebody else out there in the world that is doing or seeing something that I would envy as much as others would envy my day. D-Cubed has seen Chan Wook Park's THIRST... his first horror film - and his review, though filled with spoilers has me frothing from my fangs for this one!

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
I’ve got more Fantastic Fest reviews still coming. I have a feeling I’ll chip away at those for a while. One of the films I really adored, though, is the new documentary NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD, which is a loving look back at a whole wave of filmmakers who revitalized the Australian film industry using sex, violence, and a whole lot of stuntmen who seemed perfectly willing to die on camera.
