Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a pair of western themed reviews from Fantastic Fest. This begins my catch-up on FF reviews. I don’t want to just hit you with two dozen mini-reviews, so we’ll see how many full reviews I can pop out before I say fuck it and just mini-review the remainders.

This was one of the secret screenings and I was anxious to finally see this.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here still recovering from Fantastic Fest. It's a busy post-fest with a ton of interviews scheduled this week, one already hit earlier today. But I promise I'm on top of the rest of my Fest coverage, some 15-20 reviews. I have two coming later tonight, including my thoughts on the flick The Beef discusses below, which was a surprise addition to the fest as one of the Secret Screenings. Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here. I've spent the weekend reading through a massive number of submissions to attend the Ain't It Cool News Chicago premiere of APPALOOSA.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with El Chivo's newest Toronto article, covering Ed Harris' Western APPALOOSA, City of God's director Fernando Meirelles' flick BLINDNESS, the LeBron James doc MORE THAN A GAME, Danish kill them Nazis good WW2 resistance film FLAME & CITRON and Ramin Bahrani's GOODBYE SOLO, which is a surprise Star Wars film that takes place between EMPIRE and JEDI. Oh, sorry... Just read the review and it's a drama about a cab driver in North Carolina. Nevermind.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with another report out of Toronto, this time from Art Snob who has a look at three flicks, including Guy Ritchie's ROCKNROLLA and Ed Harris' western APPALOOSA, which I'm very much looking forward to. Especially after reading Art Snob's ROCKNROLLA review! And even though he doesn't give a full recommendation for APPALOOSA, it sounds like the kind of flick that's right up my alley.
Here's the first set of reviews from Art Snob!!!
