Ahoy, squirts! Quint here.
I was set up to interview Jason Bateman way, way too early in the morning… before 9am. I’m a night owl so that naturally meant only a few hours of sleep for me, but I’ve been a fan of Bateman’s for a long while. I’ve even been known to admit to certain confidences my enjoyment of TEEN WOLF 2. And, of course, his work on ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT was awesome.
So, it was worth it to drag my sorry ass out of bed to get 20 minutes with Mr. Bateman.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I was 12 years old when I moved to Austin from California. It was a very important turning point in my life. My obsession with movies fit right into the atmosphere of the town, which at the time was a burgeoning indie film community. Richard Linklater’s SLACKER and Robert Rodriguez’s EL MARIACHI were hitting (or just about to hit) and put Austin filmmakers on the map.

Hey everyone. Capone here, with the list of winners for tickets to see the Chicago premier of EXTRACT on Monday, August 31 at 7:00 pm, with a special post-screening Q&A with writer-director Mike Judge.
Those who entered and won will receive an email from me shortly with the details on the location of the screening. If you entered this contest and your name is on the list, but you did not receive an email, let me know and I'll get you the details.

UPDATED! Hey everyone. We've had more than 300 entries (representing 600 seat requests) for about 250 seats in less than 12 hours. The response was, not surprisingly, overwhelming, so I'm closing out the contest and will begin the process of selecting winners Wednesday and Thursday. Look for the list of winners by Friday, and look for a new contest in the next couple of days for another film next week that I'm equally excited about. Stay tuned!

Went to the premiere of EXTRACT tonight. I really haven't liked any of the spots on TV nor any of the trailers. I was there as one of the sponsors for the event, though I'm not real sure how that happened. I'm relatively sure that I was never even asked about it. Seriously Yet there on the marquee was AICN.
No, I was there because my wife and I worship KING OF THE HILL nightly on Adult Swim. Watching a little bit of Hank Hill's familial and friendly existence is just the thing to give you just a taste of joy, before going to sleep.

Hey folks, Harry here with the news that I've gone through the contest entries - and man. Some of you folks have had doozies of accidents. Some even seemed a bit tall, and shit... this is a contest for Texas so the Taller the better to see the coolness of Mike Judge's World Premiere of EXTRACT - being brought to us by THE AUSTIN FILM SOCIETY, The Original Alamo Drafthouse, Ain't It Cool News and SXSW. Look, AICN's in there with the big guys! So weird. Anyways...

Hey folks, Harry here... I've got very few tickets here... under 50... and I'm a bit bored with the first come, first serve deal. That's already happened when these tickets went on sale - and began running off. Well - we're the last giveaway for tickets! I think. And you don't have much that you have to do. I'm looking for the most amusing at work accident stories that you have. If you get picked - it's you + 1. So include your name and the name of your guest.

According to Variety:
Penned by Judge, "Extract" explores what it's like to be the boss when everything seems to be shifting around you. Miramax will distribute in North America.
Judge masterminded “Office Space,” “Idiocracy,” “Beavis and Butt-Head” and “King of the Hill.” Mike Judge pwns all.
Jason Bateman was in "Dodgeball" and "Juno."
