This shouldn't come as a particular surprise, but Mark Ronson (singer Amy Winehouse's producer) says her recording of the theme song for QUANTUM OF SOLACE has hit a few snags.
Seems Winehouse is "not ready to record any music" according to Ronson, and prep work on the track has ceased altogether.

Hey kids. I was excited to some of the scenes I watched them film on the Hulk set at the University of Toronto show up in the trailer. Here comes another astro-movie connection -- Quantum of Solace is filming at the observer's quarters of the Very Large Telescope in Chile.

Hey folks, Harry here... I like these "Behind the Scenes" features that MGM has been giving us with QUANTUM OF SOLACE... not so much trailers as they are teasers that show us a glimpse of where in the world they're shooting, the look and feel of the James Bond universe - and I have to say... it's working, at least on me. That one overhead shot of the location in Panama feels otherworldly... and the idea of an old school prop plane dogfight... that's exhilarating. I love Bond going retro. Well... here... you take a look for yourself...

I love this rumor.
I have no idea if this rumor is true or not. I will follow up on it as best I can in the days ahead, but I don’t have a lot of sources at EON Productions. It’s a pretty tight ship over there, all things considered.
But if this rumor is true, this is awesome, awesome, awesome.
And if this rumor isn’t true... well, fuck, it should be.

It’s so strange to me to see people already starting with the extreme pessimism about the new Bond film. Did they learn nothing from the idiotic anti-Craig campaign last time around? There’s something interesting going on with the Bond series right now, and until they actually do fuck it up, why not hope they’re going to give us a worthy follow-up to CASINO ROYALE?

Hey folks, Harry here... I'm not a huge fan of the title QUANTUM OF SOLACE - but I'm not against it either. Just not used to it yet. What I do like is Marc Forster directing a James Bond film - and I'm a huge fan of Daniel Craig's. One of AICN's readers - Kris - was reading his Swiss newspaper's website - and looky what they ran today...
Pretty snazzy eh?

The BBC claims it’s “Quantum of Solace.”
It's the title of a James Bond short story Ian Fleming published in 1960.
I was hoping for "Never Say Raisins Again." Or "Doctor Phil." Or "Solace of Quantum"!
Oh well.
"Solace" begins "literally an hour after the last film left off," co-producer Michael Wilson tells the Beeb.
