Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with another couple of reviews from a different film fest, the well known Rotterdam fest. We have a spy who has seen a pair of movies, one he's lukewarm on, the other he really likes. Reading the review I'm not exactly sure what his problems with [REC] are. I loved [REC], my favorite "we have to record this" type movie to date, but I'm always for lowering the expectations and not letting the hype machine make it out to be something it isn't.

Hey folks, Harry here... Back in 2002, I saw a film by Jaume Balaguero called DARKNESS... I absolutely hated it. I was told that he was capable of good work, so I found his film, THE NAMELESS and found it to be much better. That said... The word I've been hearing on [REC] is nothing short of spectacular. The film is being remade by the team behind THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES - which frankly I found to be quite good, though I admit that at BNAT, I was in a minority - though I do know almost everyone in that minority.
