Hi. I'm back. Have been incredibly busy with various things lately, so I apologise for my absence. (To the people who hate my writing: you're welcome. To the people who have never heard of me: it's okay, I'm a plant.) I've got a lot of new and upcoming Australian films I really want to talk about, and will hopefully be able to in the coming weeks. In the meantime, though, I have to tell you about MAX PAYNE.
Why? Because I suffered through it, and you shouldn't have to.

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here. This is kind of last minute, I know, but I figured some of you Windy City dwellers might want to make the journey to see Wahlberg and Ludacris in person. My guess is that the crowds won't be completely out of control, and you might even score an autograph or two and a free t-shirt.

Merrick here...
When I saw the first trailer for this film a while back (HERE), I was surprised and impressed by...well...pretty much everything in it. Didn't expect much from a video game adaptation, and didn't expect much from hit/miss director John Moore.

Merrick here...
A few weeks back we got a look at the unexpectedly promising looking MAX PAYNE trailer (HERE).
Two posters for the film have now been released, which you can find below. Like the headline says: I think these are pretty awesome myself...raw, inventive, unusual, compelling. And, above all, they're memorable.
What do you think?

Merrick here...
There's a lot of nice imagery here. Will director John Moore make-up for his OMEN redux? Will Wahlberg atone for THE HAPPENING?
Seeing this has made me half-way interested in this project for the first time.

O'Donell will play executive Jason Colvin
...says THIS ARTICLE on Entertainment Weekly's site.
John Moore (BEHIND ENEMY LINES and the FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX remake) will direct this film adaptation of Rockstar's video game.

Merrick here...
Mila Kunis, who played the ultra-high-maintenance-but-frequently-hot-and-most often-bitchy Jackie Burkhart on THAT 70s SHOW will star opposite Mark Wahlberg in the forthcoming MAX PAYNE for Fox. This is an adaptation of the video game series of the same name.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I know. Lame headline. Gimme a break. I'm tired and the only thing I could think of was a reference to a mediocre '90s comedy that still somehow holds a small place in my heart.
